This Forward Planning section can help local Voluntary Organisations, Committees and Boards identify and overcome common community group issues. See below for an explanation of how this part of the community toolkit works. The Forward Planning tool is based on a set of questions which have been designed specifically for community groups in order to help them identify common problems and plan ahead for their future. This internet version is a summary of the full Forward Planning exercise which has been developed by Inverness and Nairn Enterprise's Community Development Team. The full exercise results in an agreed future action plan for the community group and the whole process is aided by an independent advisor who will guide the group through the questions and action planning session. All this support is available free of charge. This Internet version will give community groups a taster of the questions involved and identify whether or not their group would benefit from going through the full forward Planning exercise. Intelligent software in the communitytoolkit web site will work out which questions to ask you next based on the response to the previous question. There are a maximum of 74 questions which can be answered quickly with a "yes" or "no" but depending on your forward planning needs you may only be asked a quarter of these questions. The questionnaire set should not take more than a few minutes to complete and will undoubtedly highlight some useful issues for your group so take a look and click on the questionnaire button above.
